What we collect

When you place an order through this website, we collect only what we need to fulfil it:

• Your name
• Your phone number
• Your delivery address
• Any notes you choose to add to the order
• The item, quantity and price you selected

We do not collect payment card details on this website. We do not ask for your ID number, date of birth, or any other sensitive personal data.

Why we collect it, and our lawful basis

We use your information solely to process your order, confirm pricing and payment with you, arrange delivery, and handle any warranty or return claim afterwards. Our lawful basis is the performance of a contract with you — in other words, we need this information to complete the sale you have asked for.

We do not use your details for marketing, and we will not send you promotional messages unless you separately ask us to.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. We share it only where necessary to complete your order — for example, giving your delivery address to the courier bringing your item.

Our website and order records are hosted on secure infrastructure operated by Vercel and Supabase, which may store data on servers outside Kenya. Where personal data is transferred outside the country, we rely on the safeguards these providers have in place to protect it.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as needed to serve any applicable warranty period, plus a reasonable time for accounting and tax purposes. After that, we delete them. If you would like your details removed sooner, contact us — see below.

How we protect it

Order records are stored in a secured database that only authorised Core-Grade Electronics staff can access, protected by password authentication. The website itself is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to:

• Be informed of how your data is being used
• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete
• Ask us to delete your data where there is no longer a reason to keep it
• Object to how we are processing your data
• Ask for your data in a portable format

Cookies and analytics

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors. Our hosting provider records basic technical information (such as page requests) to keep the site running securely and reliably.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC), Kenya — odpc.go.ke.

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and revise the date below.
