An entry into certified workstation territory without workstation money. The P15v Gen 1 pairs a six-core i7-10750H with an NVIDIA Quadro P620, and the Quadro is the point: it carries ISV certification for SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Revit and Siemens NX, which means those applications run on drivers the vendors actually test against rather than consumer drivers they tolerate. The 10750H is a proper H-series chip, not a thin-and-light U-series part, so it holds its clocks through long renders and compiles instead of throttling after two minutes. What makes this one sensible at this price is the headroom. It ships at 8GB with a second memory slot sitting empty, and a free M.2 slot beside the 256GB boot drive. Add a stick of RAM and a second SSD when the work demands it, and the machine grows instead of being replaced. Ex-UK, tested before listing.
