The T470 is the ThinkPad people keep recommending second-hand, and the i7 is the version worth paying the difference for. A 14-inch FHD IPS panel, a keyboard that is still among the best on any laptop, and the build quality that made the T-series the default business machine for a decade. Its party trick is Power Bridge: a small internal battery plus a removable external one, so you can swap in a charged pack without shutting down. Carry a spare and the working day stops depending on finding a socket. It is also genuinely serviceable. Two memory slots take it to 32GB, the M.2 drive is user-replaceable, and full-size Ethernet is still on board for offices that have not gone wireless. A sensible, repairable, well-made machine for office work, study and daily driving. Ex-UK, tested before listing. Superior Centre, 3rd Floor, Shop J4, Nairobi CBD.
